STANDING FOR ALDERNEY & BOURNE VALLEY
"I decided to stand as a candidate as I went to see more affordable homes for families In housing need There is a chronic shortage of homes in the area at a time of increasing need"
I have lived in Parkstone for nearly 19 years and worked in the area in housing and property management in the public and private sector
Having seen for myself the cuts in funding for housing and social care at a time of increasing demand I am keen to see increase. In priority and spending in both areas
I believe the new council should have regular neighbour hood forum for residents and we should involve residents in the decision making process something which was abolished by the last Poole Council leaving residents disconnected from the decision making process.
I decided to stand as a candidate as I went to see more affordable homes for families In housing need There is a chronic shortage of homes in the area at a time of increasing need The government has in real terms reduced expenditure in this area There is growing need for social care and hospital care and yet in real terms provision has been cut at a time of a growing population and the population is older The move of A and E services and maternity services to Bournemouth cannot be right leaving Poole as a non emergency hospital Essential workers in hospital and our care sector should be better paid in order to deliver essential services we all benefit I believe Votes for All will offer local people the opportunity for their voices to be heard and consulted through regular local surgeries and neighbourhood meetings.
